Our response to the Covid-19 pandemic
As cases of coronavirus continue to increase globally, VU Foundation stands in solidarity with all those affected by the crisis. Like all emergencies and humanitarian crises, the Covid-19 pandemic will hit women, the poor and the most marginalized the hardest. We are taking all necessary measures to protect the health and safety of our staff and the communities we work with worldwide.
Southern Africa food and climate crisis
VU Foundation is responding to the food and climate crisis in Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, where 9.5 million people are facing severe hunger after two major cyclones, erratic rains, flooding and the worst drought the region has seen in 35 years. Shockingly across the Southern Africa region, 45 million people are facing severe food insecurity.
